Kyler Murray is a professional American football player. He is a quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). Murray attended the University of Oklahoma, where he played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners.

Kyler Murray is an American football player and baseball player. He was born on August 7, 1997 in Bedford, Texas, and grew up in Allen, Texas. He attended Allen High School, where he played both football and baseball.
In football, he played quarterback and was one of the top players in the country, winning the Gatorade National Football Player of the Year award as a senior in 2015. In baseball, he played center field and was also a top player, winning the 2014 USA Today High School Baseball Player of the Year award.
After graduating from high school, Murray attended the University of Oklahoma, where he played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners. In his first year, he played as a backup quarterback and won the 2017 Backup Quarterback of the Year award.
In 2018, he became the starting quarterback and won the Heisman Trophy, given annually to the top player in college football. He also led the Sooners to a Big 12 Conference championship and a berth in the College Football Playoff.
After his successful college career, Murray declared for the 2019 NFL Draft and was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the first round with the tenth overall pick. He made his NFL debut on September 8, 2019 and played in all 16 games during his rookie season, passing for over 3,500 yards and 20 touchdowns.
In addition to his football career, Murray also signed a contract with the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball in 2018 and played for their minor league affiliate in 2019. He announced his intention to focus on football and forgo his baseball career in January 2020.
